Set of 2 chromolithographs produced from the original watercolors by Sherman Foote Denton (1856-1937). The first print depicts the roach, river chub, common silverside and blunt nosed minnow. The second image depicts the Mummichog, fall fish, black nosed dace and common white sucker.
Artists and Engravers: As documented in the Annual Reports of the State of NY Fisheries, Game and Forest Commissions c. 1898-1909: "No colored figures of fishes in existence exceed [Denton's Fish] for truthfulness or beauty of execution."
Condition:
Good, general age-related toning. Please study images carefully.
