What the condition grades mean

Good
Normal signs of age for a sheet of this period: toning, some foxing, small marks or neat old repairs.

Every fault we see is written in the condition note, and the whole sheet is shown uncropped in the photos.

An authentic, perfect and bright, originally hand-colored, illustration of 4 birds: Le Sinciulo [French], and 3 Parakeets. These are La Perruche de L'Isle de Lucon, La Perruche a Moustaches and La Perruche a Collier. Drawn on parchment paper (copper engraving). It has a fine shining because of the authenticly applied egg-yolk as varnish. The Artist is Robert Bernard (1792). The illustration is plate number 223 from ''Encyclopédie méthodique: Histoire Naturelle, Ornithologie', by Panckoucke (Paris), after the famous Encyclopédie by Diderot and d'Alembert.
