A plate of land birds from the Cyclopaedia of Abraham Rees, headed "Ornithology. Div'n 1st, Land Birds, Order 2nd, Picae, Plate VI", published on 1 January 1811 by Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme and Brown, Paternoster Row, as the Act directed. The plate is an original copper engraving with hand color, engraved by Milton after drawings by Sydenham Teast Edwards.

Seven birds perch on and around a gnarled tree: a green trogon with a long barred tail at the upper left, a brown bird at the upper right, a large black and white woodpecker with a red crest in the center, a green woodpecker-like bird at the left, and a mottled bird clinging head down to a branch at lower right. A key at the foot is arranged by genus, Trogon, Bucco, Yunx, Picus and Sitta, giving the Latin binomial and the English name for each. The large crested woodpecker is the pileated woodpecker of North America, and the key includes a "Carolina" woodpecker.

Rees's Cyclopaedia was issued in parts between 1802 and 1820, with plates in separate volumes. The plate is a general ornithological sheet, with a single North American bird among species from several continents.
